He leaned forward, kissing the end of my nose. “Even when you mess up. I love you, Bailey. Like I said, I don’t expect you to be perfect. I just want you to be open to things, to try. And if you make a mistake…” He shrugged. “Then you make a mistake.”
His hand had slid up my leg, and now he was slowly pulling the sheet away from me. “And when you make those mistakes, you get punished, right?” His voice had gone all rough and sexy, low and almost scary sounding. A scary sound that I loved. A little thrill ran through me.
“Yes, I do.”
“And I think I missed a few punishments last night. Don’t you?”
My breath came up short. I’d messed up, broken obedience, talked out of turn, more times than I could count. I swallowed hard, nodding.
“Then maybe you’re due for a punishment now?”
I blinked, staring at him. “Yes.”
He’d pulled the sheet down my legs, and I was completely exposed. “The usual? A spanking?”
I was getting wet just from the sound of his voice. I nodded again, and found my voice. “Yes. But…” I panicked, amazed at myself for even wanting what I was going to ask for.
I held out my wrists. “Tie me up.”
It was Ian’s turn to look surprised, but only for a second. Then he smiled, reached behind me for the silk ties. He slowly wrapped them around my wrists, tying the ends in a bow.
“Nice knot work.” I grinned at him.
“You’re my present.”
He took my wrists, pulling me forward. I rose up on my knees. It was awkward not being able to use my hands, but Ian was there for support. I thought he’d put me across his lap, but he pushed me down onto my stomach in the tangled sheets. I struggled for a moment, trying to raise my head.
