I really love reading and I read everything. I refuse to give good reviews to bad books. I would rather not review a bad book (each person has their own likes and dislikes and I don’t like hurting an author’s ratings), unless it is truly awful.
Yes, this book has spankings, sex scenes, medical play, and some light of BDSM, but the overall story is what really captured my attention.
Earth has been invaded. A truce was made and the invaders were given land of their own. The rest of the planet is left to Earthlings but they are in need of the alien technology to survive. Enter Freya, who agrees to help try to acquire the needed tech. Of course, she is caught and railroaded and sent to a penal colony. Enter Marco, the Governor. He is trying to improve conditions at the colony and she is just wants to do what is right and humane. He tries to save her from herself and her errors in judgment.
The story is engrossing and I could not put is down. This book has more story than sex scenes (I really like story more than sex scenes). The story wraps up pretty nicely (though not totally wrapped). If I had read this book through my Kindle Unlimited, I would have purchased it as a keeper.

Forget the advice not to judge a book by it’s cover. Chosen By the Governor is every bit as hot as it’s sexy cover suggests. An engrossing sci-fi that centers around the heroine Freya, a spunky and brave human out to save her race; and Marco, the Governor of the planet where our heroine is sent for punishment when her grand plans for saving her planet don’t quite work out. There’s fantastic spanking scenes – typical of Jaye Peaches, she writes great, detailed stuff – and the story itself is genuinely engrossing and possibly set-up for a continuation. Med play, BDSM, and all the hot sexy scenes we all love.

This author can write! I enjoyed every second of this book. It was the kind of read where you’re racing to the end, but then sad the story is over. Marco and Freya were perfect, evolving as individuals and coming together as a couple. The steam factor was high and loads of fun! I also loved the story outside of the sex scenes. The success in bringing some form of order to the penal colony and the part that both of the main characters played in accomplishing that was exciting and satisfying.
This was a great read and I absolutely recommend it!

Jaye Peaches has written another wonderful story! I love sci-fi erotica and big sexy aliens! Freya finds herself on an alien penal colony and between a rock and a hard place. She can do hard dangerous work or become the mistress of the governor Marco. She agrees to become his mistress and must learn the rules and discipline that goes with that assignment. This story had a really good plot with some twists and turns to it as well as many erotic scenes. I enjoyed this book a lot! i really enjoyed this book! It has everything i look for in a romantic book – interesting story, well developed characters, hot sex with elements of discipline, anal, medical, and BDSM, and the all important happily ever after ending.

I enjoyed this book! The sci-fi theme was different and offered suspense, danger, adventure, romance, love and quite a bit of steam.
