I just love Loki Renard books. Whenever I see one I grab it and this one didn’t disappoint. It was a Sci-Fi and took place on a planet in the future.the world had been run by machines and did everything. Only the aristocratic shad these machines and the poorer people starved.when girls turned 18 they were given to the higher up soldiers. One girl caught the president eye and they fell in love. He taught her to cook, clean, do Landry and other household things. She wasn’t fond of chores but the king persuaded her over his knee. She was captured by an evil aristocratic who sentenced her to death. Was she saved? Did the king find her in time.?buy this awesome book and find out. The spanking and sex were erotic.the dialogue was witty and the book was very good. I was given this book for an honest review. The feelings and opinions are mine.

Loved the story. (FYI – I rate books mostly on story and writing, not erotic content.) Sometimes spanking stories go overboard but this one actually holds back a little. It was a refreshing change of pace. I would say that the book title and synopsis do not do the story justice. I perceived it to be more of an “awakening to the world around you” than a “humbling”. The characters are well developed and draw you into the story. As I don’t want to give anything away, I will just say that even though Tristan is a little thick headed at times, in the end he is one of my favorite characters in this genre.

What a wonderful book! The post-apocalyptic world in the future was a wonderful back-drop to an unexpected romance and love. Tristan is everything Lydia doesn’t know she needs and she is what his life has been missing. Lydia is full of sass and certainly can find trouble if there is any to be had, but Tristan loves her all the more for it and together they were perfect. Great read that had me chuckling in quite a few places and happily cheering them on in others.

Lydia has been raised as part of the wealthy minority that depends upon machines to do everything. When a new regime takes over such women are married to the men of the new government. Tristan is the new president and is drawn to Lydia. He must teach to accomplish basic household tasks while protecting her from the resistance.
