I’m not a fan of old western type books but this book drew me in. It was a really good book. I loved the chemistry of the characters. I really loved the honesty of the story and what it means to forgive. I found this book to be refreshing and a very good book. I would highly recommend this book.

I have been a fan of this author since I read Big Beautiful Little. I am not a fan of westerns but the author does such a great job with the world building and the character development that I did not mind that it was a western (I especially thank her for not filling it full of old west colloquialisms that really obstruct my enjoyment of a story). There was a lot happening in this book from the misunderstanding that drove Lydia away from Grant to Lydia’s truly terrible excuse for a mother to finding their son and beyond. The author wove an engrossing story of heartache but tempered it with some human kindness, understanding, and forgiveness. There was a large cast of secondary characters that added to the story and helped or hindered our main characters. The epilogue does a great job of giving a satisfactory conclusion to the story. I would recommend reading this book.
I received a copy from the author and I voluntarily reviewed this book.
