Ms Carpenter is a talented writer with a great feel for storytelling. This book is about Ellie Blake a normal human who has been having some pretty terrific and explicit dreams. It turns out she has been communicating with Valodar. He is an alien who believes strongly Ellie is his mate. Ellie has her doubts but is drawn to Valodar. What I like about him was aside from being amazing as a lover and protector, he took time to explain things to Ellie about what was going on and how things could work. There is enough suspense due to a rejected former friend of Valodar and a little bit of it is time to save the world but most of the story was about them building a relationship and coming to terms with their roles in that relationship. The hero was hot, the heroine was smart and likeable – together they were hot an believable. Love the story!I received an advanced copy in return for an honest review from Stormy Night Publications. All thoughts, opinions, and ratings are my own.

OMG! Off the charts hot!
Maggie Carpenter just became one of my can’t miss authors. I love the sci fi genre, but only when it’s done so well. Ms. Carpenter didn’t over do it with long drawn out explanations not needed to move the story forward. She gave us just what was needed to allow us to understand the world and aliens she so imaginatively created, then got right to the story of Valodar and Ellie. And, wow what a story! We should all be so lucky to spend time in a dreamscape or any where with a man, uh Xan like Valodar. Strong, tender, loving and firm on his rules. Ellie was the perfect partner for him, she too was strong, but willful and often got herself into trouble without even trying too hard. I loved that there was just enough intrigue to satisfy my suspense and mystery side. I won’t give any spoilers but, I so disliked Raven and so liked Endolin after the true story came out, and that’s all I’m saying about those two. You want to know more? Get a copy and read this book, you won’t regret it! I received this story from Stormy Nights Publications as an advanced review copy.

I was hooked from page one. I don’t usually like sci-fi but this story, excellent. It was hot and steamy, adventurous, funny, scary. It had it all, not to mention dreamy hot aliens.
The story captivated and held on till the finish. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I would definitely recommend.
