Meg is a college student. She doesn’t like her classes and not getting her way. Her parents are overindulgent and she’s become spoiled. When she is given a strange piece of glass by another student and told to make a wish, she doesn’t give it another thought. Then at a test she didn’t study for Meg makes a wish to leave. She is transported back to 1898 where her ancestor, Margaret has just married the Marquess Lord Heathgrove. His name is Cyril and he doesn’t know what to do with his runaway wife. Meg is now in Margaret’s place and Cyril decides that his wife needs discipline. Discipline he’s unwilling to give her, so he hires a very stern Governess. Miss Prichett has had experience with naughty girls but none as bad as Meg. The spark between Cyril and Meg surprises them both and the discipline is something they both find out that they enjoy.

This Outlander-esque story gives us Meg, a fairly traditional Victorian-era heroine who must learn to accept her place and conform to expectations, a situation made more difficult by her knowledge that she doesn’t belong there. It’s a well-written story which moves along nicely, and hits all of the right emotional and disciplinary buttons.

I would have enjoyed seeing the author spend a little more time with her secondary plot, but overall this is a fun, easy-to-read story that gave me what I expected, and did it extremely well.

★★★★★ Renee @ Amazon.com “Sexy, kinky and time travel! Fabulous” on October 10, 2016
Meg is an interesting story that I enjoyed reading. The Victorian punishments were unique and harsh, yet as a reader I was intrigued. The time travel added an interesting twist and the ending turn was unexpected. I really liked the setting and how the relationship developed between Meg and Cyril. The governess is another different facet that adds so much dimension to the story line.
This is a story that you don’t want to put down.

★★★★★ Ni Na @ Amazon.com “Fun story” on October 12, 2016
I enjoyed the eloquent and lively style of writing, the plot, and the naughty moments that you’ll find in there. I think part of what made the story so rich in variety was the contrast of the two main characters who find themselves in so completely different situations, from rigid Victorian life to our present times. I’d like to read more. 5 out of 5 stars.
